Spéos joins forces with AFP to launch an exclusive training course in photojournalism

The Spéos International Photography School and Agence France-Presse are pleased to announce their partnership to create a unique training program in photojournalism, starting in September 2024. This course, taught in English, will welcome around 15 students. It runs from mid-September 2024 to the end of June 2025.

AFP 2023 Results: Financial Recovery Continues

During a meeting on April 25, 2024, the AFP Board of Directors approved the accounts for the 2023 financial year, which confirm that the Agency’s financial recovery is continuing.


Total turnover was stable (+0,1%), at 320.1 million euros.

Operating expenses were 297 million euros, a decrease of 0.4 percent (- 1.2 million euros) compared to 2022 at comparable exchange rates.

Ukrainian news agency trains in fact-checking with AFP and APA

After training with journalists from Agence France-Presse and the Austrian news agency APA, Ukraine’s largest news agency Ukrinform has started writing its own fact-check articles in an effort to confront a wave of war-related disinformation.


It is the first major Ukrainian media outlet to be trained in fact-checking, a crucial step as Russia’s conflict in Ukraine has entered its second year.

Croatian and Slovenian digital media observatory ADMO (Adria Digital Media Observatory), the result of a collaboration between journalists and academics, has launched admohub.eu, a website that will provide access to hundreds of articles, research projects and media literacy modules focused on disinformation.

EFCSN and AFP announce partnership

The European Fact-Checking Standards Network (EFCSN) and Agence France-Presse (AFP) have entered into a partnership that will give European fact-checkers access to AFP content for publication.


Through the partnership, AFP, as a co-founder and verified member of the EFCSN, provides other EFCSN members access to the AFP News platform at preferred conditions.
