AFP journalist wounded in drone attack in east Ukraine

An AFP video journalist was wounded by a drone attack while reporting at a Ukrainian artillery position on Monday, AFP reporters who witnessed the explosion said.


Dylan Collins, a US citizen based in Lebanon but on assignment in Ukraine, sustained multiple shrapnel injuries in the attack in a forested area near Bakhmut.

He was evacuated to a nearby hospital where he was being treated and doctors have said his condition was not life-threatening.

AFP unites more than 100 media outlets to fight against disinformation during the 2023 Argentinian elections

Last Monday, AFP and the NGO Chequeado lauched a new edition of the collaborative journalism consortium Reverso, uniting over 100 media outlets and organizations.


Reverso was launched for the first time during the 2019 Argentinian elections. Its objective is to fight against disinformation throughout the entirety of the elections through the production of articles and audio-visual content.

Centenary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans

The 24 Hours of Le Mans race ("24 Heures du Mans" in French) will celebrate its centenary this year, during its 2023 edition on June 10-11. The internationally famous sports car race is held annually near the town of Le Mans, France, and it represents the world's oldest active endurance racing event.
