Thomas Coex exhibition at the French Institute of Greece

The French Institute of Greece (IFG) will present from March 20th to 30th the photo exhibition by Thomas Coex, "From Athens to Paris, 20 Years of Olympic Games."


The exhibition traces back two decades of Olympic history through the lens of Thomas Coex, AFP's head of photo for Spain and Portugal. Throughout his career, Coex has covered seven Olympic Games among other notable events.

Photo editors from AFP's London bureau were alerted on Sunday to alterations on an image released by Kensington Palace of the Princess of Wales and her children.


Following discussions, AFP and a group of international news agencies deemed these modifications to be in violation of the ethical standards of the profession. As a result, they collectively agreed to remove the photo from their distribution platforms.

Annual Release of Gender Equality Professional Index

We're pleased to announce that AFP has achieved a score of 98 out of 100 in the calculation of the Gender Equality Professional Index for 2023. This marks a notable improvement from the previous year's score of 92.
