The role is an exciting opportunity to be a part of AFP's fast-growing fact-checking network, which has seen it take a leading role in the global fight against disinformation.

The position requires an agile journalist who can easily navigate online disinformation, mostly on Facebook but also other major social media platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, YouTube or TikTok.

Candidates must have a native-language level of writing in Finnish, as well as a good command of English and experience in journalism. A bilingual or good writing level of Swedish would be a decisive plus.

Applicants should be able to show interest or experience in online verification and social media, qualities of rigour, attention to detail, meeting deadlines, as well as initiative and self-motivation.

The post-holder would be based together with AFP's correspondent in Helsinki, and work on a daily basis with our Paris-based European editors, liaising with our regional office in Stockholm.

Please send your applications before March 26 to [email protected] and [email protected] with a CV and a covering letter of less than 400 words explaining which position you are interested in, and why you are suitable for it.
