The French embassy in Hanoi hosted AFP’s "Road to 2024" exhibition, featuring 24 of our photos celebrating the Games and the Olympic spirit.
These exceptional shots were taken by AFP photographers at past Olympic competitions and at events leading up to the next Games to be held in Paris in 2024.
Beyond the sporting performances, our exhibition highlights the determination, courage and emotion of the athletes and allows us to imagine what the upcoming competitions in Paris will be like.
Many Vietnamese media and officials attended the opening in Hanoi on 24 May, which was followed by a press conference hosted by French Ambassador Nicolas Warnery, Hanoi Bureau Chief Alice Philipson and South East Asia Chief Photographer Manan Vatsyayana.
The exhibition will last until July and is then expected to be shown in Ho Chi Minh City.
