Fabrice Fries, PDG de l’AFP, a souhaité présenter ses condoléances à Sheikh Hamad bin Thamer Al-Thani, président du Conseil d’administration du réseau Al Jazeera, à la suite de la disparition de la journaliste Shireen Abu Akleh.

Please accept my sincerest condolences for the death of your journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, killed while she was covering clashes in the Palestinian city of Jenin.
Shireen Abu Akleh was one of the most respected and recognized figures in the profession.
She was one of the most important journalists covering the Middle East, where she had always reported with great talent, courage and professionalism.
Her death is a great loss for journalism and we hope that the circumstances of her death will be fully investigated.
We express our support to all your teams in these very sad and difficult circumstances.
